HOW MUCH MONEY CAN YOU MAKE FROM INSTAGRAM HASHTAGS

On Instagram you can make: from $0 to millions of $$$$

-
Instagram doesn't print out money
Instagram prints out attention
-
What you do with that attention is up to you?
-

You can have 100K followers and not make money or You can have 10K followers and be a millionaire

-
Followers don't equal to money
Followers equal to attention
-
Attention is turned into money when you offer value to your followers
-
How you use this attention is entirely up to you
-
If you don't have a business model or offers the attention you generate is worthless
-
On the contrary, if you have created multiple monetisation pillars, your potential is limitless
-

Instagram lets us use 30 of them, so use all 30!

"But I heard 25 is better so I don't get shadowbanned for using 30!"

This is false.

Instagram doesn't want to see us fail. If they let us use 30, then 30 is 100% OK!

-

PLACE THEM IN FIRST COMMENT

INSTEAD OF YOUR CAPTIONS...

Neither has a reach advantage.

BUT when you place them in your caption, someone can click them and LEAVE your post behind.

*Not possible if you schedule content :(

-

CHECK THE TOP ENGAGEMENT

We know to check the competition on hashtags first, but engagement on them matters more.

Check the likes and comments on the top posts. If your average is similar then use it! (within 75-125%)

-

CHECK THE TOP IMAGERY

Use hashtags with top posts that match the imagery of your own content you plan to share.

-

And finally...

RE-USE THEM!

I re-use my hashtags 90% of the time and there's nothing wrong with it.

Just make sure none of them are banned and are applicable to the post (based on this guide).

-

-

8 years ago you could throw just about any hashtags on a post and...

GROW GROW GROW!

-

But those days are over.

So instead, here are lesser known hashtag hacks to try...

-

USE THEM ALL

I promise this isn't your typical "Instagram Growth Mistakes" post.
I don't want you to go too long making these mistakes too, so here's a breakdown of some behaviours that may be hurting your social media strategy.
-

TOP 5 INSTAGRAM MISTAKES

-
By now, we've seen tons of these posts and we know what they all say:
*Don't follow/unfollow
*Engagement groups are icky
*Don't copy & paste DMs
-
So here are some less-known mistakes...
-

RE-POSTING ALL STORY SHARES

It's nice when someone shares your post to their story, but you don't have to thank them by re-posting all of them to your own stories.
Stories like this get skipped and that will hurts the views of future stories too.
-

BEING AFRAID TO FOLLOW FIRST

Trying to get more followers? Start by FOLLOWING some people.
If someone sends a comment like this: Your content is my favorite on here!
But they aren't even following you, are you going to believe them?
Instagram can be like dating, someone has to make the first mow!
-

FOLLOWING TOO MANY PEOPLE

I know I just said to do this, But following too many people can hurt your reputation as well.
If a connection didn't work out as planned, you can always unfollow:
You can check the most recent accounts you've followed by going to your following section and tap on the button with up & down icon by selecting the "Latest" option.
-

DELETING GHOST FOLLOWERS

I admit, this is one that I recently changed my mind about.
IG will eventually clean out bots itself and "inactive" followers can actually surprise you from time-to-time.
I've learnt to spend my time creating and researching great content instead.
-

HIDING YOUR PERSONALITY

Do you know what content has gotten me the most unique engagement, shares, and follows lately?
Not Hashtags but Beard Joke
Not Strategy but Challenges -
Not Centent tips but Fun Facts
Bringing high-quality content is important, but standing out while you do it is a MUST.
-

BONUS TIPS:

*Thank Story shares with a DM instead
*Build trust by following accounts first
*Don't follow more than 500-1000 accounts
*Don't waste time deleting Ghost Followers
*Show up as your authentic self on Stories!

If you can, post daily but don't feel pressured to do it. Along with posting daily, you also have to engage with people to get more visibility and make your content seen.
It's not gonna be easy, but if you can do it, good things will happen.

And just like that, the official @creators account drops some more big news on us!
Ever since Reels were launched in August 2020, a common question has been: "Will re-posting TikTok videos to Reels hurt our reach for the format?"
Well Instagram just gave us the answer...
-
Once again, this comes directly from the @creator,. Instagram:

DON'T POST A REEL THAT

- is blurry due to low-resolution.
- is visibly recycled from other apps (i.e. contains logos or watermarks).
- is uploaded with a border around it.
- has the majority of the image covered by text.

These types of reels won't be recommended as often to people who don't yet follow you in places like Reels tab, but will still be shown the way they always have been to your followers (for example, on your Profile or in Feed) as long as they meet our Community Guidelines.
Let's take a closer look...
-
We know this is a reference to re-posted TikTok videos which Means:
*Posts with blurry quality or z watermarks will have low Reach
*Your post will show up on the Main Feed, but less on Explore
-
If you currently use TikTok to record your Reels, consider these tips:

-Record videos in Reels or InShot FIRST
-Use officially licensed music from Reels
-Don't cover most of screen with just text
-Avoid stickers in typical watermark areas
-Upload in highest quality possible!
